The Western Conference of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States is one of the four conferences within the National Organization. It comprises the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawai'i, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, the Pacific Regions, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
The Western Conference will elect their candidate for the National Junior Vice Commander-in-Chief at the National Convention one (1) year prior to the National Convention that they are due to be installed in that office.

📢 ALERT: 2026 VFW National Convention Moved
The National Council of Administration has voted to change the location and dates of the 2026 National VFW Convention.
- Old Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
- Old Dates: August 14–19, 2026
- New Location: Reno, Nevada
- New Dates: July 24–30, 2026
Please note: This means the National Convention will take place three weeks earlier than originally scheduled.
