The VFW Western Conference will meet in Boise ID in the November 6-9, 2025. For more information on reservations or registration please contact the Department of Idaho.

United States Veterans Service Dogs

United States Veterans Service Dogs was created for and is dedicated to helping veterans return to a new “Normal” by training and placing quality service dogs with veterans. These specially trained dogs provide support to mitigate the effects of mental and physical disabilities.

The VFW National Home for children community in Eaton Rapids, MI is open to the families of active-duty military personnel, veterans, VFW/Auxiliary members and relatives of VFW and VFW Auxiliary members. The family can be one or both parents with one or more children. The VFW National home for children is ALOT more though.. resources for Veterans and their families are available all over the United States. Call 800-313-4200

WELCOME TO WESTERN CONFERENCE

Teamwork ~ Leadership ~ Commitment

The Western Conference of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States is one of the four conferences within the National Organization. It comprises the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawai'i, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, the Pacific Regions, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. 

The Western Conference will elect their candidate for the National Junior Vice Commander-in-Chief at the National Convention one (1) year prior to the National Convention that they are due to be installed in that office.

📢 ALERT: 2026 VFW National Convention Moved

The National Council of Administration has voted to change the location and dates of the 2026 National VFW Convention.

  • Old Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
  • Old Dates: August 14–19, 2026
  • New Location: Reno, Nevada
  • New Dates: July 24–30, 2026

Please note: This means the National Convention will take place three weeks earlier than originally scheduled.
